It's always good business to add a privacy and linking policy statement to any website. It lets your prospects and customers know where you stand on these issues and how you may use information you provide to them (such as your e-mail or other contact information). I like to keep things simple so here goes:

Privacy policy - I don't share your information with anyone. I don't sell my e-mail list and I would never give anyone your contact information without your permission. Having said that, as we develop a business relationship there may be times when I think your product or service could benefit another client of mine or when I know someone who I believe can help you in your business. In that case I will gladly connect the two of you, but only after receiving permission from both parties.

Links policy - On this website I recommend products and services that I personally use or have first hand knowledge of because I have clients who use them. The only exception to this is when I compare several different products and services to help you make an informed decision on which one may work best for you. In that case I always let you know which one(s) I use and what I know about the other ones.

Many of the links to the products and services I talk about (whether I recommend them or not) are "affiliate links." This means that if you purchase or subscribe to that particular product or service using these links then I will get a small commission on your purchase. It is very important that you know a few things about these affiliate links:

• It will NEVER cost you any more to sign up through these links. You'll still get the best pricing available.
• The commission I receive is very small. I try to provide as much free information as possible and the small income from affiliate commissions allows me to keep this site up and running and to continue to offer reasonable rates for my own services.
• Whether or not I'm an affiliate of a program has nothing to do with my recommendation. If I'm using it then I'd recommend it even if there was no affiliate program! In fact it's only recently I discovered affiliate programs and started adding them to my website. Before that I recommended the services I use anyway and would continue to do so even if there were no affiliate program.
